Executive Order #2 signed the 13th day of April, 2020 extended until April 30, 2020, unless earlier extended or revoked by the Mayor of the City of Bixby, Oklahoma.
This ordinance becomes effective at 11:59 PM on Wednesday, April 1st, 2020 and continues until 11:59 PM., Thursday, April 16, 2020, provided that this Emergency Proclamation and Order is not rescinded prior to April 16 or extended after April 16 as determined by the Bixby Mayor or the City Council. Executive Order #2 signed the 13th day of April, 2020 extended until April 30, 2020, unless earlier extended or revoked by the Mayor of the City of Bixby, Oklahoma.
This ordinance applies within the city limits of the City of Bixby.
Evidence shows that it is vital to slow the COVID-19 virus transmission to safeguard the most vulnerable and to prevent the health care system from being overwhelmed. Limiting interactions among people to the greatest extent practicable has been proven to reduce the spread of the COVID-19. Therefore, this Proclamation helps preserve critical and limited healthcare capacity in the region.
This order requires individuals to shelter within their residences with the following exceptions considered essential activities:
If someone in a household has tested positive or exhibiting symptoms of coronavirus also known as COVID-19; all members of the household should isolate at home.
In addition to limiting activity to that considered essential, the City of Bixby has taken the following actions:
